Nothing. Seems entirely normal to me. So, that makes me normal too....right?

hobo2000 02-13-2011 10:57 AM

Same thing we are all doing...

np3 02-13-2011 10:58 AM

We're all here with you!!!

luvnquilt 02-13-2011 11:00 AM

Me too, I've been pouting (in my head- not out loud) for a couple days because I haven't been able to get any sewing in all week (small children, my time isn't always my own) but when I do have a few mins. to myself, here I sit!

C.Cal Quilt Girl 02-13-2011 11:05 AM

Nothin... Just Chillin with the Gals and Guys on the QB :)

If a Sports fan could be called sittin and scratching LOL

Zebra2 02-13-2011 11:06 AM

I remember the days when I used to get on my DD for spending too much time on the internet!! Pfft! If she only knew!! LOL!

Vanuatu Jill 02-13-2011 11:30 AM

Just been asking myself the same thing (for the past 2 hours!) It's addicting, isn't it? Just keep telling myself, this is my last post today-got to sign off-then I check topics one last time-then replies come in my inbox-HAVE to check those! Then one last past by the unread topics-well, you get the picture! We are hopeless! Well, bye for now-got to sign off! (yea- right!!!)

Rose L 02-13-2011 11:39 AM

Ugh! I can and have spent entire days on the internet just looking and reading. Everything gets let go when you make that a habit. Lately I've been firm with myself and have imposed limits to my internet time (not easy at first). I am allowing myself one hour in the morning, half an hour after lunch and free time in the evening after supper IF the dishes are done. My house is clean now and I have three quilt tops ready to go on the frame and a fourth quilt cut out and ready to go. I feel so much better about everything. Back to work!

This is my day to just sit at the computer.... I'm giving myself an excuse..... seems perfectly normal to me!

Maride 02-13-2011 12:12 PM

Nothing wrong

debbieumphress 02-13-2011 12:28 PM

No kidding. I going to withdrawal when I can't be on here at least 6 hours a day. It is addicting and I love to read what everyone is doing, projects going on, swaps, etc. I think I could give up smoking quicker. ROFL

Shelbie 02-13-2011 12:29 PM

You're allowed. It's Sunday and a day of rest! Do whatever helps you to prepare for the week ahead even if that means spending too many hours on your computer.

pumpkinpatchquilter 02-13-2011 12:37 PM

Hahahaha - see this is what I do when I'm too tired to sew! Right now I'm 7 months pregnant and my back is killing me, so I am finding myself more often in front of the computer looking at other people's sewing rather than my own! ;) With a pillow and heating pad it's much kinder on my back...just a little less productive. Lol*

ha ha ha.... I am doing the same thing. Keep telling myself, I'll just read "one more" then go finish the quilting on my quilt.... yep, you guessed it, I'm still here :)

Maggie_1963 02-13-2011 01:48 PM

Sometimes you need a hug every once in a while, so here is your hug!!!!!

kathdavis 02-13-2011 02:49 PM

My machine is in the shop. After reading all of these messages, I'm really missing it.

cathylynn 02-13-2011 04:51 PM

I start out with the intent of '1 hour only' but then I see so many beautiful projects and learn some new stuff that the limit kinda rises to 2 to 3 hours. today turned into one of those days. oh well ... maybe tomorrow.

costumegirl 02-13-2011 04:53 PM

LOL!! Me too!!!

You have the same addiction as the rest of us. Don't worry we are all in the same boat.
Happy Quilting (when you get to it )

p38flygirl 02-13-2011 05:15 PM

join my club...I get on here and stay for hours...sometimes without saying a word...

tjradj 02-13-2011 05:17 PM

Well, I'm just sitting here.........having a pyjama day. Getting up off the couch to throw food at my kid every once in a while. Otherwise, napping, watching yet another repeat of Star Wars* not my choice. Tomorrow I'll get dressed. I think.

Dotsie 02-13-2011 07:50 PM

What is life if full of care you don't have time to stand and stare? (somewhere in school it was a poem we learned, help me was it by or J. Fellow?}

Isn't that just the truth. We have come into our own these days and our own is the quilting board. Those guys can have their online war games and the girls can have their Facebook, we've got ultimate quilting.

justlooking 02-14-2011 03:38 AM

We are in the best of company!

And me too!

emerald46 02-14-2011 03:56 AM

lol...we quilters must all have one common "thread" running through us. Even my quilt friends at church say the same things.

alleyoop1 02-14-2011 04:48 AM

You are expanding your vision, helping your fellow quilters, learning from others and spending time renewing your quilting soul.

Dina 02-14-2011 04:54 AM

Oh, alleyoop1, I like the way that sounds. ...I never did start sewing yesterday. Nor did I stay at the computer, as the kitchen sink quit draining and my husband and I spent the rest of the day with various plumbing snakes and such.

My current thinking is that I will sew when I come home from work. Hmmm, but think of all the messages I will need to read first!! :)

Julie in NM 02-14-2011 05:29 AM

But I need this forum for inspiratioin! I have a HUGE file of pics from this forum showing great quilts I just know I will make someday. I use this forum to learn about color choices. This is the best quilt class!!! I have to be on here...a lot!!!

Dina 02-14-2011 05:36 AM

Yes, this is a quilt class. Perfect!!

And I am sitting here reading all the messages instead of cleaning house SO I CAN SEW. I see a pattern going on here.

Baloonatic 02-14-2011 05:54 AM

By your avatar, looks like there's too many kitties lying all over your work! Maybe you just need to go to your LQS, say howdy, and see what's new and exciting...

jolo 02-14-2011 06:36 AM

sounds like me. sometimes it I am on here from 7am to noon just reading and posting. Think how much sewing I could do in that time.

pad's 02-14-2011 06:45 AM

I thought The Quilting Board was our version of The Wall street Journal, meant to be read with breakfast & coffee,...break times, lunch, pm break times, etc....you mean we can only be on here if we only need help???? I NEED A LOT OF HELP! just as soon as I finish my breakfast I promise I will finish my "FISHY" quilt.....honestly will....it needs to go to Michigan with me Sat. .... yikes, this Sat!!!!!!
