If I were your MIL I would appreciate the hard work and I think I would probably iron over it with a damp cloth/sheet, and maybe stretch a little here and there on it. But I think it looks great myself.

truly not bad looking at all..i would heavily spray it with mary ellens best spray..and reallllllyyyy give it a good press and i think you will be amazed...good luck

I think it's beautiful and she should be so happy with it because you made it for her with your heart and hands. That is what counts. I bet if you made her a toothpick log cabin that was 5"x5" she would love that. It's what you put of yourself into it that counts. That's just my opinion. It's something to cherish.

That is what I was thinking... why not iron it? Doesn't look as bad to me..

hey, what do i know, but i think it looks good. its got the look of a vintage quilt and the fabrics, colors, etc. unless i'm missing something, i think it looks fine.

I would put it through a rinse cycle, take it out and lay it out flat, stretching it to square it up, then let it dry. Of course, all quilts shrink a bit when washed which gives them that antique or country look. It really doesn't look that bad to me, although I'm sure it looks that way to you in person. Good luck...I wouldn't envy you having to skin the quilt and re-quilt.

It's lovely! You could use a little steam on the binding & it might help. You know it's the thought that counts & your MIL will appreciate the effort you made for her.And I'll bet she'll love you just as much as ever!

I would wash the quilt in cold wash then lay it flat to dry. I always put mine on my bed to dry & put a fan on it. Be sure to 'block' it or brush it so it lays as flat as possible after you lay it out. I hope it works but if you don't want to give it to her, I will take it! I can't see where there's anything wrong with it!

I don't think it looks bad at all. Try ironing it. That should help flatten it out.
