I don't feel so bad now as I only have 5 UFOs to finish. Time to start sewing faster and spend less time on the computer.LOL

Its not a UFO when the top is completed, at least in my world. When the piecing is all done, it has become a flimsie. When it gets quilted, its a QUILT. I bind it right away so there are no unfinished quilts in my stash. Not that many UFOs, just some orphan blocks that want to grow up to be a quilt.

I have 4 that I made 2 1/2 years ago when I started to learn how to quilt, needless to say, with much practice, I am much better now and would be sort of embrassed to give these 4 away if I finished them. I now know the use of spray starch and my seam allowance is at 1/4" with seams matching. Not sure what to do with these four tops.

If you count every project, tops to finish, tops done, but not quilted or binding sewn, I had 30 plus at the beginning of the year. However, I have completely finished 11 of those so far this year, and feel that I am on a roll and will get more done by the end of the year. I do not know how I got to this place, as material for projects in the drawer, but not cut out is just as bad. My goal is to have at least twenty done by the end of the year. Ask this question again at the end of the year.

How many UFO's do I have?
That's a scarry question. One time I counted, had 40+ that I intended to finish some day, some I didn't have any use for and had enjoyed learning what could be learned from it, so didn't know if I'd finish it. There were many I'd hit a road block, so it sat and now have moved on to other styles. So now I figure, I work on what I need/want and save some for my daughter to remember me when she decides what to do with them. I've shown my family the quilters will, so they know to give it to my friends, after taking what they want.

Do UFOs include fabric and kits you have bought? If so, I have quite a few bit more than the 3 that are partially done. :)

I'm with you, KarenK! I don't want to know and am not sure I could find them all anyway. I hope to get some finished someday...... if the spirit hits me. Quilting is more of a process for me rahter than a finished project :)

Too many to count! I'm actually scared to count!
