I am so excited!!!! I did it I finally sold a quilt!!!!!!! It was only a small table topper wall hanging but i still sold one. I am just over the moon about it. My day couldn't have gotten any better. Especially since I have two kids with pink eye. I told hubby and his reaction was bland. He was like well that's good. So I called my mom and she was supper excited for me. She knows what it is like to sell something she has made. I was sooooo excited that I ran out to ship it right away. I know that many on here have sold their work so you guys all know how excited I am. Thanks for letting me share. I am about ready to jump out of my skin I am soooo happy.

I so get what you mean. My husband would react the same way except he's say, How much? - Then he'd say - that's nice. I'm so with ya girl - I'm actually typing too fast, I'm so happy for you! It does feel good doesn't it. Awesome! Congrats!

I am just working towards being able to sell some quilts so I can't wait to have the excitment over selling the first one. Congrats to you and hopefully many more to come!!

A couple of years ago, I had a booth where I sold my hand made items, purses, totes, wallets, table runners, etc. and quilts. I did very well, but I only sold 1 quilt. I loved doing it, but I have to tell you, selling that quilt was the hardest thing I have ever done. I wanted to sell it, but when the time came to hand it over, I almost cried. I sold it , and the lady payed me a very good price, but I felt like I had just abandoned a good friend. I will never do that again. I have 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 1 great. They all have quilts, and I continue to give them to family and friends, that does not bother me at all. Guess Im just weird!!

sorry it took so long but this is the only pic I have of the quilt. It is missing its binding but that is okay, it is just a black marble type binding.

Nothing beats that feeling of making something and somone wants to buy it, it means you have arrived and done something others want to pay you for all your labor of love. Did you take a photo before letting go so we can see?? Ops see it now came thru later. I can see why it was wanted by someone else. Good work so pretty.
