Thanks to all for the help and encourgagement for my problem of putting together a quilt without the puckers. I took a tip from here and there. Even watched the video someone suggested. Guess what? I got the quilt together with out any puckers!!!!! Yea!!!! I may even try another queen size futher down the road. I still have a little more quilting to finish, but it should be done tomorrow. So my sister will get it in time for Christmas. Thanks everyone.

Way to go--your sister will love the quilt.

amorerm 12-15-2010 07:36 AM

So "thrilled" for you. Good job girl.

You do know that all of our suggestions came from "been there, done that". I'll bet every suggestion came because we have experienced this same problem at one time or another.

We learn from these "set backs" and now "there is a story behind this quilt for you" and the thrill of completing it and giving as "gift" will always mean that much more.

This is another good example never to get discouraged when things go wrong. Everything can be fixed or adjusted and another "wonderful quilt" has been created.

polly13 12-15-2010 10:13 AM

Oh, and it makes you feel sooooooo good when your project is completed looking just like you had imagined. I know how happy you feel and we all are happy for you.

grangerist 12-15-2010 01:20 PM

cwessel47 12-15-2010 04:38 PM

Hooray! And now you can do it again - and again - and again....

poultney 12-15-2010 06:03 PM

Great! I've only did small quilts so far. I have 3 large tops that have been waiting for two years now. I'm just afraid to put them on the frame I bought and quilt them. Hoping to take some classes here at a long arm quilter's place and then I have signed up for long arm classes at AQS in Lancaster. Congratulations!

DonnaB 12-15-2010 06:09 PM

Good going, we need to see a picture.

jojosnana 12-15-2010 06:51 PM

AngieS 12-15-2010 06:53 PM

It always works out, sometimes ya just have to step back, take a deep breath, and "getter done" Now doesn't it just lift your spirit when you look at it, I'm sure it does! please post pic.

Yipee Joyce, proud of you. I am getting ready to put the binding on my brothers quilt between a queen and King size. I hope to start on that in a few minutes if I will get off of here, and hope to have it ready by Friday when I see him. Time will tell !! Merry Christmas.

When everything comes together, don't you feel like walking just a little taller? I'm happy for you. I made my first queen last year, now I want to try all the patterns! LOL!
