Carole, I did not know this....I went to a thread class at the Quilt SHow a few years back, thought I would be bored out of my head, but it was very informative. Of course I forgot most of the info. But a question, which end would you put the knot in? THe opposite of the end you threaded into the needle? Sorry for being so dense....and thanks for sharing this.

I was taught to put both ends of the thread through the needle and then back through the loop of the middle of the thread. Takes longer to thread the needle but I never get twists or knots.

I have never heard anything like that at all. I was taught to thread the needle with the thread as it first comes off the spool, then knot the othe end. Will have to try that and see what happens.
