Good for you. I need to purchase a quilting foot and try to do it. My feed dogs don't lower, but I think that if I put something over them it would work. Congratulations and I can't wait to see what you do. Have fun. BrendaK

I don't lower my feed dogs but i put my stitch length to "0". I learned this from Leah Day. I find my stitches come out so much better than when I dropped the feed dogs.

Way to go! The first time I did FMQ my arms and shoulders were so tight and hurt like the dickens. I practiced all kinds of stuff and have finally learned to relax and it is so much easier, and as you said it is fun. There are things that I want to try, but I'm not afraid to try and that is half the battle.

What do you mean by FMQ? I bought one of these, but not from this site, just looking for an image:

You can get an oven liner (made of teflon or silicone) for much less than a supreme slider.

You might want to try Supreme Slider. A little pricey, but I love it. You leave the dogs up.

oh. i'm so glad you think so, too!! for a bit I thought I was crazy, ok, but I mean the wrong kind of crazy, because from the very start I was not horrible at it (my own definition of horrible) and it was exhilarating! I sing while I do it and that gives me a rhythm to play to!
