I use a padded roll around stool, like you find in Dr. offices. Don't buy one labeled as that, just take the back off a padded air lift desk chair. Walmart had very good quality padded desk chairs at the start of school for $60 and later marked down to $25. Great colors too and Staples didn't have any color but black for twice the price and less padding in the seat.

Me too...I use an office chair for sewing now and can sew for much longer times. Glad you figured it out...quilting is fun! |
LOL, way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you....Where there is a will there is a way!

I will be sharing pictures of the table runners soon. I want to get the binding done first.
As for the pattern I'm using.... just sewing squares together in rows using Moda charm packs. I needed something stress free. LOL |
Good for you. Enjoy.

I don't have a designated sewing space so I sew at my dining room table and sit in a hard wooden chair. Or at least I used to. My computer is in another room and I love to sit here and looks at quilt pictures all day long instead of making my own. The other day I decided to take my nice comfy computer chair to the dining room to sew. Now the hard chair is at my computer and I just can't sit here for too long anymore. I've made seven table runners this week except for the binding. As Charlie Sheen would say - "Winning!" |

LOL, ain't that the truth! |
Another way to do more quilting is not cook or clean (LOL).
Seriously, when I cook, I try to make enough for 2 meals. That gives me more time to quilt. |
