I always laugh at my girls, they know that they can have any coupons from my Sunday paper, nut the Joann's, Michaels and AC Moore... I have a saying never buy anything at Joann's without a coupon......Good deal. Just wondering about that sale fabric, I am always a little afraid to but the red tagged fabric is it good quality for quilting?

Hahahahaha! Same here about the husband having a differing view on saving money!

My DH took me to JoAnn's too. He dropped me off and then he went down the shopping strip to Best Buys. JoAnn's was PACKED and I had to wait in line to get fabric cut and then again to pay for my purchases. It seemed like everything in the store was on sale(as usual), but I also had the 20% off everything coupon too.
Yes, some good deals could be had that day!!

Wow! That is a good deal! Good for you.
Don't you just love it when that happens?

I also have a policy of not buying anything unless it is with a coupon and/or on sale at JoAnn's. I get just as much a thrill walking out of the grocery store after doing my homework before going and buying the promo items and using coupons on top of that and saving bundles. Last week I PAID 89.00 for what I got, but got $58.00 off as savings! I find it fun-like a game-and a challenge to see how much I can save! I live about 40 min away from Joann's here and don't drive so DH has to take me everywhere. Not that he complains, but I never get enough time at JoAnn's because he gets bored to death waiting for me and I don't enjoy it when I am so rushed! Oh, to have a quilting friend to go with!!!!!

Their Keepsake fabric is decent enough-that is what is on sale the most-usually 40% off-but they also carry Debbie Mumm and Susan Winget (and another I can't think of just now) which is their premium quality for quilting and that sometimes goes on sale for 30% off. Mostly their coupons are not valid on sale items, so be careful there. Currently you can get a coupon for an additional 10% off any item, even on sale, but limited to one item. If you have the VIP card thru Quilters club of America (you get it with your membership), you always get an additional 10% off your entire purchase, including sale items, which can pay for the membership fee if you shop here a fair bit. I have already more than saved the cost of the membership. I haven't seen any of those premium fabrics on the clearance tables, but then I don't get there often enough to really check often.

You have to use the touch test. Some of it is really nasty but some of it is 'acceptable'.
