After reading all these comments, I'm still in a love/hate relationship with stripes

I seek out stripes and deliberately make them wonky or cut on the bias. Never can get them straight, so why fight it.

I have a whole shelf of stripes. The ones I favor are the floral stripes. They make wonderful borders, and separators for long strips of blocks. Also like them in table runners, purses, etc.

I love them for binding. Other than that, I steer clear of them.

My DH has an aversion to stripes! He sometimes actually feels sick when he looks at some stripes--so I use them sparingly in my quilting. I usually only use them on the bias for binding.

I like to use stripes for my binding. It gives the quiilt a different look.

I enjoy stripes, they can certainly add play and movement to a quilt! Of course they don't belong on all quilts, but they sure look good on kid quilt bindings

I avoid stripes like the plague. They look nice for borders and bindings, but I don't like working with them.
