Quilt4u, I hope it's a short and mild cold and that you are back to quilting in no time!

It is a beautiful design & I would love to see it in fall colors. The colors you describe here sound beautiful! Can't await to see it! Very creative!

Has anyone else noticed that you get that french braid look if you use 3 colors over and over in the same order? 8)

Never tried it (though going to now), but it makes sense that 3 would work...

Oohhhh pretty! I don't know if its an original pattern, but it is to YOU...since you drew it up and colored it! I love it and can't wait to see it come to life!

Thanks for the link! I will keep it in mind. Meantime, I was given a pattern from Moda as "French Braid" but when I looked it up they had named it "Sultry"? Anyway, I did it in shades of purple & green prints for my G'dtr. Will post a picture when it's done. I think it's beautiful BUT.............didn't think ahead of time that ALL the pieces are cut on the bias & therefore stretched very easily! One must be VERY careful with the iron on this quilt!! Had some trouble with the last 3 braids because I stretched them!

Why did you cut the pieces on the bias?

Very pretty. Love to see the actual fabric version when you have completed it.
