On Freezer paper... can you buy rolls of it that are advertized here and other places? : http://www.pospaper.com/15freezer.html
Just thought it might be best to buy a large roll than sheets??? Thanks, Sharon |
I will check back tomorrow,,, it's past my bedtime!! Goodnight everyone!
I have gotten it in sheets and in rolls from the grocery store. The roll on the website would probably last me for 30 years.

I get it at the grocery store, they sell it in rolls the same size as a roll of waxed paper or saran wrap. Works fine for me.

I buy my from the grocery store too :D:D:D
grocery store sounds like a better way to buy
I get from the grocery store too and have used at least 6 or 7 or SO Usefull for a lot of crafts not just sewing and marking quilts to quilt
I read in an Australian Quilting Mag some where, that in Autralia you can only buy freezer paper in sheets from quilting stores not in rolls from the super market! I must admit I have not seen it on my local supermarket shelf here in NZ either! I must look further into this, as it seems to have many good uses!

I usually get mine from the grocery. I wonder if Sam's Club has a bigger roll, but not quite as big as the one you're showing?
Grocery store for me too.
I use and buy both, the roll from grocery store and the sheets. I prefer the sheets to put in the printer, they don't roll up. I like the 8.5 x 11 sheets, do have a package of 11 x 14 ordered by mistake.
I got a roll at the supermarket that was 18 inches by 150 feet. Most out there are 15 inches wide.
Laughing! I suppose I don't need the one on the link! I did look in the grocery store and could not find it.. maybe I didn't look hard enough! Off to check that out! Thank You all for your replies to my question.

Just saw that you too are from Maryland! Where bouts? Annapolis area here. |
I buy it from the grocery store in a roll. When I needed to print on fabric, I bought the precut sheets and ironed them onto my fabric.
I got mine at Walmart.
I just went to the grocery store and found it with the wax paper! Got it! You do say though that the sheets are better to use in the printer eh?? I have not found them in Joann's .. maybe the one quilt shop may have the sheets. Not sure when I will use it , put I am sure I will find an opportunity to do so before long! Seems I have saved several links to using it for appliqueing.. Well Thanks again for your help.

I buy mine at the grocery store, then cut them and run them through the printer. I figure if I can run photo paper I can run freezer paper. Like them better than the precut sheets, and way cheaper. I paid $9.00 for a package of 30 at LQS and they don't stick to the fabric as well.

In Australia you by freezer paper (Reynolds) in rolls from a quilting store. Supermarkets haven't a clue what you are talking about. Haven't seen it in sheets anywhere though. |
Rolls? In the grocery store by the plastic wrap, etc. In sheets that you could use in your printer? Michaels, JoAnns, etc. Makes it really convenient to just tell it out and print your design on it without cutting to size with the rolls. Oh! Its by the painting section of the store and I think it is called pallet pad. I have used it for a couple years.
I bought my roll at Wal Mart. I love the black cat in your avatar, I have one too and he is so sweet and well behaved.
Grocery Store!!
I am sure the sheets are grand, lay flat and all. But, I still haven't used up that big roll I bought from the grocery four years ago. Aardie (aardvarq) |
I buy mine in a roll at the grocery store. 18" x 33 yds - it lasts me years!! I used to use it in the kitchen before I bought my foodsaver 14 years ago - now it stays in my sewing room!

You can buy it at your local grocery store, and Walmart always has it.
I have both but prefer the sheets I bought on-line a couple of years ago. The pad of FP I bought at a quilt shop (Jenkins?) was thrown in the trash. Once it was ironed on I couldn't get it off. Sometimes my local groceries don't carry the Reynolds FP so I bought a box of FP sheets from a restaurant supply place.
won't ever have to buy any more...box contained 43lbs of paper! Love it though. |
I bought mine at the local grocery store too. I bought it 3 years ago and still have quite a bit left. I guess the only way it would be economical is if you PP or applique a lot. Then I could see buying a roll that big. Otherwise, I'm just going to stick with what I get from the grocery store.
I bought a big roll at Wal-Mart, it's by the foil and plastic wrap. This works fine for me.
I find freezer paper at our grocery store in the freezer/canning section.
I get mine at Walmart on the roll in the section where they have the wax paper and foil. They seem to be the cheapest around my area.
I usually by it at the groc. store, but Winn Dixie closed up and I was able to get a big butchers role and the holder for $5.00. DH puts up deer meat with it and We both use it in quilting. Will last a long time. But worth the 5.00 If I ever need another would probably by a big one again. I hate running out of any paper. TP esp. LOL

(I am certain that somewhere, in some supermarket someplace, that I cannot for the life of me, sometime in the past 6 months, I saw a roll of freezer paper - did I buy it then??? of course not... just like seeing a funky fabric and thinking that you'd go back later to pick it up and then finding the week later that it's vanished!) |
I buy mine at Wal Mart by the rolls, like wax paper
