Jenny at sew-classic.com has tap-in and screw-in pins - I like the kind that has holes drilled in the top so that when I use a thread stand/cone holder, the thread goes from the stand to the spool pin and then to the next threading point.

I'll be interested to find out about the timing issue - I've heard that it's very rare for one of these old gals to fall out of time - it takes a tinkering humanoid to mess that up. ;)



Do you have yours up and running yet?
Only 25 or so are actually running. ;) I've got a few that still need refurbishing, but tinkering with these machines is as much fun for me as quilting or sewing, so I've got some "project" machines sitting around, too. The rest of them, I use, some more than others - My 15's get used more than any of the others because they're such good piecers and quilters. :)

Thanks for all the tips, ideas and links, PollyParrot.

As for the timing I hope my tinkering human, DH, can fix it. I am pretty eager to give her a try.
