I love QB because I've met some of the nicest people, the willingness of complete strangers to share their talents, the caring, the amazing talent and the open sharing of those talents, the warm feeling I have in talking with fellow quilters, the genuine concern shown when one of our members is hurting - the people! I just feel like the member of a very large family and in today's hustle and bustle world that is a rare commodity.

What's not to love? :D Everyone is so helpful, friendly, informative; loads of pretty stuff to look at; shopping tips; so much useful information and it sparks the creativity so much! I am so very, very glad I found it!!

I learn so much from this board, both in quilting and other products people have tried. I love the sharing of pictures of work done with pride, but not done in a boastful way. I love the web sites recommended and the help I receive whenever I ask. I won't give up this Board for anything.

I like the feeling of community with people with a common interest. The support, suggestions, pictures, ideas, encouragement...all of that.

I love the people and the pictures. I get so inspired by all of the beautiful quilts, and I have learned so much in the short time I have been a member. I look forward to it every day!!

information on web sites, quilts etc. inspiration and I have met new friends both cyber and in person. This is a great place!

The people are nice and there is always someone willing to help you. I love the pictures of the quilts they are all so beautiful and they fill my head with ideas for the future project that I don't have time for. Thankyou ladies one of these days I will have more time for my projects.

It is so relaxing, I have learned a lot from this board. I love it, I spend at least two hrs most evening going thought it. I don't want to miss anything.

Apart from this we encourage each other,we share ideas, we share our sentiments and some secrets, we share our triumphs, and our bad days, the beauty is, we meet and make good friends here and we can swap out nice goodies with each other, and promote our little sales too.

I love the encouragement we get from each other, the pictures that inspire, the knowledge that is so easily shared. It was so encouraging to me when I first discovered the site that I really wasn't crazy with all the designs running around in my head.

We are all one big family here loving the same thing - quilting. Although we may all have other varied interests, the one we all have in common is quilting. I live way out in the country and its like having neighbors that quilt.

I LEARN SOMETHING NEW OR BETTER EVERY DAY. EVERYONE VERY HELPFUL. DO NOT FEEL FOOLISH FOR ASKING DUMB QUESTIONS (ALWAYS GET AN ANSEWER) NO BICKERING OR BACK STABING, LOVE THIS PLACE.

I can't remember how I found the QB. I think just googling. I know little to nothing about quilting but am learning by trial and error. I usually am on the QB every evening after the house is settled and it's quiet. All the "learners" and "knowers" are great, kind and helpful to one another! Thanks everyone...

And I cannot remember how I found the QB either, but you have all sure helped me a lot when I was panicking about why something was not coming out right. And- it seems like someone is always there, any time of the day or night.

I Love it for lots of reasons. But most of all everybody shares their mistakes and their accomplishments, and that's great.

I love the QB, as its like going to my comfort zone. People are wonderful. I need to get on every night. Otherwise My day is not complete.

I love being inspired by the awesome quilts that everyone makes.

I am a lone quilter...none of my friends or family quilt.

This is the place I come every day for inspiration, help, tutorials, a good laugh (thanks Ditter) and to be with others that have the same passion for fabric and quilting as I do.

The people here are so generous with their time, support and expertise....there are no "cliques", plenty of heartwarming pics and we are all welcomed....beginner right through to professional....the artists, the frugals, the traditionalists and the modernists....an eclectic and wonderful assortment (bit like a mammoth box of chocolates or a giant box of fabric scraps).

So thanks everyone and Long Live the Quilting Board.

You are so right...as one who works in legal, well the notice board takes me away when things are just so horrible in this world.....& then I can drift into my thoughts of quilting as soon as I get home

Ditto, ditto, ditto. In reading all these interesting threads there are some really obvious 'common denominators' aren't there. No matter how we arrived, what has kept most of us here is such a strong sense of community. Everyone here starts with a love of quilting, even if it begins with just looking at the beautiful work being shared in the Pictures section. The tutorials are so incredibly well done, questions are asked and answered with respect and courtersy, and the value of the combined knowledge and expertise of 22,000 craftsmen cannot be measured. But my favorite part of the board is that it is genuinely helpful. There is never a sense of competition, just a heartfelt desire to promote and support the quilter's craft. I am so happy to be a part of it.
