Tell him you agree with him. In order to become one you will have to make a sizeable investment in fabric, tools, etc and then he will agree you ARE a quilter now.

You are indeed a true quilted. Tell your dh that he'll never get a quilt just cause he doesn't think you're a quilter. LOL

You certainly are a quilter, so keep at it and enjoy, it's a great hobby!

Don't take that lying down. Go out and buy some drop dead gorgeous fabric and make one to show him. Men just don't get it sometimes. Always think of "yourself" as a quilter and you go girl.
