embellishing with foil and glitter, want to do beads as well, bargello is fun, PP, curved piecing

I've done PPing, and applique, but not thread painting or curved piecing. Have to get some info on these procedures.

I have just started doing appliqué by hand. Doing the Free Craftsy Block of the Month has allowed me to try new techniques that I would have never tried. If you aren't doing the Cfaftsy BOM, you might want to check out the new skills you can learn there.

I would love to know too. Thanks so much! |

I want to try lined or innerfaced applique. I like to do needle turn so I think that technique might be fun, too. We'll see... I also want to try adding a flange to a quilt. That's not a "technique" per se, but...

Where would I find the Craftys BOM please?
|
I love the strip tubing technique. It is quick and easy and produces amazing results.

You may enjoy fabric folding. I have 2 books on the topic. The photos are gorgeous and the technique is challenging.
Will you share the names of the books? I found a japenese folding/piecing book at the library that I thought was interesting. I'm always on the hunt for interesting books. Thanks, Suzy |
Sashiko and Origami techniques for applique. The techniques produce 3D applique which is really cool.
