I have not gotten fabric that is 45" wide in a long time. When figuring width it is best to go with 40" as you have selvedge to cut off and maybe even shrinkage to take into consideration. Just a thought

That's 26" worth of strips.
44/4=11 four in. squares per strip
44/3=14 three in. squares per strip
You should have about 10" of fabric left over give or take depending on how much you use squaring up.

Do your cut squares need to be 4" and 3" or is that the size of the finished squares?

9 patch 4x4" print and solid the 3" is on the strips between each block then there is a triangle on each side of the block.
