While shopping the thrift store today for fabric sources, I happened to find like new bed ruffles for a set of twin beds. I loved the fabric and they were priced at $1.99 each. This particular set was attached to a white 50/50 poly cotton platform. The ruffle was 14" long and high quality 100% cotton.
Now here is my idea... I counted the entire length of the ruffle, and there were 22, yessssssss, 22 repeats of the pattern. On just one ruffle. And I have two.
I'll bet you know what I'm thinking by now, OBW, right? of course right!!! And larger sizes of bed ruffles are priced higher in 50 cent increments. And are on sale for half price on certain days!!
Bed ruffles are almost always in great shape as they get little wear and tear. So all you thrifty shoppers, keep your eyes open. And wish me luck when I get around to working on this project.

I got one that was battenburg lace (tailored fit) and another that was ruffled eyelet - much nicer than the who knows how much a yard if you try to find it as cut fabric.
