Oh yes! a fabric store in walking distance sounds so wonderful.

You should go every day, good for your health!

I spend hours browsing in a fabric shop, thank God there isn't one in walking distance from me, I would never get anything done!

Yep, a fabric store within walking distance for me would be trouble for sure. I try & walk every day when the weather allows it. Have fun on your future walks. :)

there used to be a fabric store on my way home from work. most of my stash came from there. awful day at work no problem stop at the LQS on the way home. the day i retired ,the very day, i stopped there to sign up for classes....the store was empty all the fabric had been trucked out the day before,,,,,sigh,,,,,was so sad,,,,but there are three within 20 minute drive in N,E,W of here.

I don't know about you but I would be. I have been in WV for the last 2 weeks (going home tomorrow) and there is a place called The Fabric Hut. Looks really run down, building in bad shape. Went in there to see if they had some embroidery thread for a Red work that I'm doing (they did) and found the neatest piece of fabric for $5.49 per yard. It is a off white/tan swirled print (hard to describe) Perfect for some winter scenes I'll be making. Bought 1 yard that day and went back today and bought 2 more yards. And also some civil war prints at 3.49 yard. I'd probably have paid $9 per yard at a LQS. You never know what you'll find in these off the road shops

You are so in trouble

This could be a problem with a capital P --OR--Just think of all those walks as being good exercise and fabric purchases will be your reward for sticking with a new healthy habit. This would be my excuse :-) :-)
