I want to say perfection went out the window a long time ago, but I know it's not true. It's in my nature and I sometimes really hate it. I would rather throw something away than take it apart!

Perfection? What's that? My quilts are labors of love and I have so much fun designing and choosing fabric. Every year I enter new quilts I have made in the previous year in our County Fair. And guess what!!! I always get blue and red ribbons. How's that for a confidence booster. It helps to keep me quilting and looking forward to the next year. We also have an annual quilt show at our local Lutheran Home, no ribbons, but a wonderful way to display what you have made. Mine don't even compare with the really great quilts, but I learn so much and get great ideas for new ones. This year (Feb. 21,22,23) I am entering Christmas wall hangings (tree and snowman.) Also baby quilt, my first rag quilt (just finished it) and alphabet wall hanging made for grandchild Jenna in 2008, and fall table runner for which I received a blue ribbon at Co. fair last October. So keep on quilting and enjoying it. My cooking isn't perfect either.

I'm a perfectionist, but I've learned over the years that you can drive yourself crazy! I do my best, but I have fun with it too!
