I've been happy with Connecting Threads for fabric as well as thread. I know several people who order from them all the time and are pleased.
I have used www.fabric.com for years and never had a problem. Connecting Threads is also really good.
I love Hancock's of Paducah. Good sales, always fast delivery.
I have ordered from Connecting Threads, Fabric.com and Thousands of Bolts serveral time and was pleased with each order.
I've had good service and excellent quality fabrics from Hancock's of Paducah, Over the Rainbow, Dakota Cabin Quilts, and the Missouri Star Quilt Company.

thank you ladies. i am loving all the input.
Fabric.com, and Connecting Threads are both reliable
There are also lots of good sellers on Etsy. www.etsy.com
Search for quilting fabrics under "supplies". |
I have ordered from connecting threads, equilter (multiple times), Thousands of Bolts, and fabric.com. I've been happy with my experiences with all of them.
Another good tip is to look at this board's thread entitled "Links and Resources" whenever you check the board. Daily, people list sales and specials they find online, and you can try out some new vendors that way.
I've used fabric.com, connecting threads, sewforless.com and jhittlesewing.com (for notions and such). I haven't had a problem with any of them. Several of them offer free shipping after a certain $ amount.
do they ship international--ie australia
thank you all
stitch-n-frame.net is wonderful. There is a weekly Thursday special. Customer service is great.

FabricDepot is another good site too :D:D:D
I had to shop online for 9 years while living in remote alaska...
where go online really depends on YOU...your budget, your project, your theme.... PM me for a very long list if you like! OR you can start with http://www.quiltshops.com! |
for sheer "finding exactly the right fabric", you can't beat equilter.com and their customer service is wonderful!
I actually have had good luck with a number of sites. I am using Thousands of Bolts right now, and am very happy with them. Connecting Threads is good, too.
http://www.whittlesfabrics.com/
They are near me so I don't actually order but their prices are good and they are always cutting internet orders when I am there. |
I find equilter.com the best. They feature all the new fabric lines and and they display the swatches as thumbnails which can be enlarged for greater detail. I find the description and color shown are very close to the real fabric. If you join the e-mail list there are bi-weekly announcements of new fabrics.
Happy quilting Severna |
I really like crafttownfabrics.net They have excellant prices, over 7000 bolts and great prices on their clearance fabrics. Check out their web site you wont be sorry.

I have ordered from Thousands of bolts and have never been disappointed. Get on their email list and you will be emailed special sales before the general public. They have great sales.
Connecting threads is a fantasic place to buy fabric
Fabric.com and FabricCloseouts.com are both great - have ordered $100's and never been unhappy with them; I've also ordered from several mentioned already and no problems - good fabric - no flaws, or thin fabric -
