I have had good luck with Flannelworld.com, Equilter.com, Thousands of Bolts and only one nut.com. and several others. I really haven't had any bad experiences. Maybe I've just been lucky.

I've been happy with Connecting Threads for fabric as well as thread. I know several people who order from them all the time and are pleased.

Cherylsea 01-30-2011 04:54 PM

I have used www.fabric.com for years and never had a problem. Connecting Threads is also really good.

Fabric.com, and Connecting Threads are both reliable

sewbizgirl 01-30-2011 06:28 PM

There are also lots of good sellers on Etsy. www.etsy.com
Search for quilting fabrics under "supplies".

Butterflyblue 01-30-2011 06:30 PM

I have ordered from connecting threads, equilter (multiple times), Thousands of Bolts, and fabric.com. I've been happy with my experiences with all of them.

sewbizgirl 01-30-2011 06:31 PM

Another good tip is to look at this board's thread entitled "Links and Resources" whenever you check the board. Daily, people list sales and specials they find online, and you can try out some new vendors that way.

sandpat 01-30-2011 06:33 PM

I've used fabric.com, connecting threads, sewforless.com and jhittlesewing.com (for notions and such). I haven't had a problem with any of them. Several of them offer free shipping after a certain $ amount.

jemma 01-30-2011 06:50 PM

luvmortherest 01-30-2011 06:54 PM

FabricDepot is another good site too :D:D:D

jaciqltznok 01-30-2011 09:49 PM

I had to shop online for 9 years while living in remote alaska...

where go online really depends on YOU...your budget, your project, your theme....

PM me for a very long list if you like!
OR you can start with http://www.quiltshops.com!

JanetM 01-30-2011 10:24 PM

Here are two favorites:

http://www.equilter.com
http://www.overrainbow.com

teacherbailey 01-31-2011 03:23 AM

for sheer "finding exactly the right fabric", you can't beat equilter.com and their customer service is wonderful!

thenonnielady 01-31-2011 03:24 AM

I actually have had good luck with a number of sites. I am using Thousands of Bolts right now, and am very happy with them. Connecting Threads is good, too.

ssgramma 01-31-2011 03:25 AM

http://www.whittlesfabrics.com/

They are near me so I don't actually order but their prices are good and they are always cutting internet orders when I am there.

severna 01-31-2011 03:26 AM

I find equilter.com the best. They feature all the new fabric lines and and they display the swatches as thumbnails which can be enlarged for greater detail. I find the description and color shown are very close to the real fabric. If you join the e-mail list there are bi-weekly announcements of new fabrics.
Happy quilting Severna

I have ordered from Thousands of bolts and have never been disappointed. Get on their email list and you will be emailed special sales before the general public. They have great sales.

debbieoh 01-31-2011 05:26 AM

Connecting threads is a fantasic place to buy fabric

jad1044 01-31-2011 06:00 AM

Fabric.com and FabricCloseouts.com are both great - have ordered $100's and never been unhappy with them; I've also ordered from several mentioned already and no problems - good fabric - no flaws, or thin fabric -

Daleen 01-31-2011 06:19 AM

TheSpidersWeb.com
HoneyForkFabrics.com
StitchinHeaven.com

All good websites. Check out sales bin on each site.
