I like stitch-in-ditch for log cabin quilts.

I LOVE your quilt!! The color combo is fabulous and the different fabric designs look wonderful. I'd go with stitch in the ditch.
|
You did such a nice job. Those colors look great together!

I love your quilt! I have done several log cabins and I start in the center of each block, 1/4 or so in from the seam and make a squared spiral in each block. I like that look myself. Hand quilting in the ditch is sort of wasted as you can not see the stitching. You sort of make that center square, and then go out like it is pieced. I won a first place ribbon on one that I did that way!

Oh yes, I use a 14 inch round frame to quilt, just moving it around as I go. Much easier to handle for me that a really big frame.

Hi I am new to Quilting donot know all the lingo yet what is sid thanks
|
I just wanted to say I love your quilt!
|
SID means stitch in the ditch.... just right into the seam line, so the quilting shows on the back but not really on the front. It still serves to give that quilted look, though. This board is a wonderful place to learn all sorts of thing, to get new ideas! Wonderful to learn and to share. Welcome.

Your log cabin is beautiful. I only machine quilt so I have no suggestions.
|
Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I am afraid I am not very good at deciding on quilting patterns but I am sure whatever you decide will only add to this quilt's beauty.
