I just can't quit. I won't let it get the better of me. I'll work on it til I figure out why. That drop of Elmers may be what you need, but what you need to figure out is why? Seams fit together when nested properly, so something is wrong. Really look at it. My eyes just slide over things sometimes and when I really look I can figure it out.

I get frustrated with myself all the time. I should have given up a long time, but I love to quilt to much. :-D

I am pretty new to quilting (working on my 2nd quilt now) and that describes most of my seams ... LOL. I am just excited I actually completed a quilt. Take a day of rest ... but remember, you must already be a very good quilter.

someone on this board suggested silk pins, they are very, very slim and long. You can also sew over them. They are great. It's a good thing to walk away when getting frustrated. Just remember no ones perfect and if you can't see the seams being off while riding by on a horse. Don't be hard on yourself

Pin on both sides of the seam not in the seam. Works for me, too!

I'm sure after a break, they will be perfect. I also pin for all my seams; takes longer, but that is only way I can get my seams to match. They're not always perfect, but I've decided I'm not perfect, lol.

Best time to stop is right when you are having one of these moments. Take heart, it happens to all of us. Fabric gets cut, and the pieces are rather small, giving the yarns (what the thread in the fabrics are called) a way to stretch. YUCK!

It all will be better today - because Scarlett O'Hara told us it would be!!!!

I use washable glue to match seams. It really helped me with accuracy, plus pins are very hard for me to handle.

But, as others point out, sometimes you're just having one of THOSE days...

Breaks are always good.

Sounds like a good idea to back off for now. Yes, tomorrow is a better day - and just in case no one else has mentioned it - put the larger piece on the bottom and let the feed dogs pull it into size as you sew.
