dunster: I like your reply :) Maybe 1/4" will be fine for what I am doing. I don't think the thread originally started out about rag quilts - but some of the pictures were definitely rag quilts.... so maybe some of the comments were on rag quilts as well....this is encouraging

Interesting - I didn't know that about denim quilts. Makes sense though. Guess I will have to keep that in mind if and when I ever decide to do one.
