She did better than 1.97 a yard------------she got it for about 51 cents a yard.

Tartan 10-19-2012 05:57 PM

Green with envy! In the first picture it looks like you have yardage to do Redwork tulips on. I am sooo jealous!

What a great find! In my area not even Goodwill has fabric of any type. I suppose not that many sew or maybe everyone is a hoarder.

All of our stores (Goodwill, Salvation ARmy, St. Vincents and some other of hte same type) have fabric from time to time. You can't count on it at any of the stores, but it's there sometimes. Generally about 50 cents a yard.

My personal opinion is that anyone who's mean enough to remind us, ought to lose posting privileges until the holiday mentioned. :p JUST JOKING!

LoisM 10-20-2012 07:16 AM

What a great find! It's wonderful for both you and the seller. I hope you post the other part of your haul later.

Score is correct, fantastic find for you.

I'm especially envious of that Christmas fabric with the little gifts on it! Now I'm inspired to head to my local Goodwill just in case they have fabric this week.

Thanks everyone. I got a bunch more today, I mostly was thinking of my community quilts group that makes isolets for a local NICU and bought fabric we could use for the baby quilts.

Hang on...I'll go take a pic! After washing most of it already, I was too pooped to measure the yardage. The black fabric is a knit. Again all for $25.

batikmystique 10-20-2012 04:47 PM

Congrats! Now, get to the cutting table and make some great projects! Post pics of them if you can. :-)

GrannieAnnie 10-20-2012 05:35 PM

Looks like your second trip yielded a bunch of kiddie type fabrics. Thanks for the pics!

GrannieAnnie 10-20-2012 05:36 PM

OH, the book panel---------------last year I took a CHRISTMAS book panel apart, put sashing around each page and arranged it in page order as a kids blanket!
