A quick hint. Go to the nearst largest store and buy a battery operated MAN'S mustage trimmer and put the flat side against one side of the opended --just a little to allow the trimmer to get in and carefully rip the seam open. This has saved me lots of time.. the quilters favorite saying? RIP RIP SEW. Hope this helps you.

Invest in a Wahl battery powered moustache t$12-rimmer. Makes quick work of ripping. About $12 to $15 at Walmart. It is really slick!!

Id get a few co-ordinating yards of extra fabric and run with it...it could be a mistake but I see it as an oppotrunity...and wouldnt have to remove a stitch one

I am sorry to hear about your problem. I went to my quilt building to work on a quilt for my daughter and was rather upset and when I finished putting the center together the thing is so out of square and looks really bad. I am going to have to rip out what I did because I found out the fabric is not available anymore and the whole thing was bought as a kit.

This is one of those times you look at the good side of your screw up; it can be fixed without costing additional money. Sometimes our screw ups cost us money instead of time and then sometimes our screw ups can't be fixed. Try to look at the good side of it and then say a few mumblings while you are ripping out all of those stitches and grab a glass of wine.

I agree, too. I would never rip out 40 rows...get creative. That is total punishment!
