ive always wondered if i could use a dremel and sharpen mine.. Never had the guts to try..

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was glad to find out that I can sharpen my favorite and the finest blade seam ripper I have. The newer ones I bought are so thick that they don't get under the small stiiches (like FMQ) that I need to remove for wandering where they weren't supposed to.

I've wondered about using the blade kind of seam ripper but don't really understand...do you hold the seam open and run the blade between the fabrics? Afraid I'd slice the fabric!
I usually unpick every few stitches and then pull out the thread on the other side. Do you think emery sandpaper would sharpen the "old" kind? |
