I'm happy sewing at home in my sewing room. I have my puppy Dusty in there with me and a TV.
My Husband watches TV and naps in the living room.

I never worry about cleaning house! And if I don't want to answer the phone, I turn the ringer off. We are empty nesters, and my DH works 3-4 nights a week, so I get most of my sewing done while he is gone.

Your little cottage is sew cute Jan. You're lucky to have a cottage to escape to.

Jan in VA

Picture taken before I moved in 6 years ago.

I could so totally live there...what a peaceful, serene place. You must never want to leave!

Yes, I sew constantly in my trailer. I have several projects that I take along with us when we camp and I put the cutting mat and rulers under the bed. I have a small portable ironing board that fits on the kitchen counter and I keep extra books in the camper at all times. A friend of mine wanted a small camper to fix up for her back yard and she calls it 'her Glam'per'. Out west they have a huge group of ladies who decorate their campers inside and out. I say Go for it.

Hi MaryAnn, you should look up Mary Jane Farm.com. She has glam campers like your talking about. Very popular
Good luck with this

We have an RV but only take it for a week of vacation by a river so there really isn't time to sew. We have it to just relax and enjoy each others company and sitting in the cool running river on lawn chairs throwing sticks & balls for our grand dog to fetch. It's so comforting to be away from everything for that week. Of course when DH retires I'll be wanting to camp RV style for a month or so at a time, then I'll take my sewing stuff, there is so much storage in our RV, I don't have 1/2 of it filled with stuff yet so plenty of room for retirement sewing equipment :)

We like in the Adirondacks for half the year and I have taken over one of the lofts in our camp (what cabins are called in the ADK) for a sewing area. I love it....look up from my machine out the window and a view of the lake! I am so blessed..my DH even fixed a table to be a cutting table for me. I put the small ironing board on the bed and filled the dresser drawers with...what else...fabric.
I say sew where you are planted!

Having a space to get away, is perfect.
