Love it love it love it and I'm Irish! but one of my four children is American and would really love to make him something like that as a quilt or wall hanging to bring home with us. In fact I was going to put up a thread question on how to go about making a state flag as a quilt but if I can't figure that one out this would be great. When we used to play Trivia Pursuit we put a world map on the wall --- just for fun -- see where we were talking about is.

I did make one for a 10 year old nephew. He wasn't real excited, but maybe it will be a helpful learning tool anyway. I haven't asked yet, but I'm thinking I will offer him a bed quilt also.

That's really cool! It would be awesome as a quilt, too.
