I am so happy and so touched by this random act of kindness a member of the quiltling board has shared with me. I just had to post to let you know that Quilters on this Board are the best.
This is the first time something like this has happened to me and I am humbled and inspired by her kindness.

I posted a picture a few weeks ago of fabric ( at quarters bundles) I have chosen for my first quilt. I wasn't excatly sure I would have enough fabric, but thought I could add additional yardage if needed.
Last week I received a private message on here from a quilter and she said she had purchased that same fabric and decided not to use it and she would mail it to me if I would like it. She said she would like for me to have if If I needed it rather than just have it sitting there.
AWESOME!!!!! Fabric is on it's way to me as I type!

This is an awesome group, I have learned so much just reading your posts and from replies to my newbie questions.
I hope to be able to pay it forward when an opportunity comes up!

Good for you! Now you won't have to worry about not having enough of your chosen fabric. Always good to hear of a pay-it-forward.

Yes the biggest majority on this board are fantastic but I can't get past the member I sent a $10 postage package of fabric crumbs to and didn't even get so much of an acknowledgement that she received it. I know I need to move on!

I don't believe there is anything that happens by chance. GOD sends people into our lives when we need them most. Enjoy your AWESOME surprise.

This board is great and it's many members have always been able to answer any question that has come up from anyone. I have learned a ton of valuable information and ideas and I have used the tuts so yes count me in as a truly satisfied board member. A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL

I agree. There are not many places where you can get the warm glow that comes when hearing of good deeds. It restores your faith in people, and counteracts all the terrible things we are bombarded with on the news.
But, just as remarkable, is the fact that you took the trouble to express your appreciation for the good deed. Gratitude is an approach to life that blesses all who witness it! Bravo!

Boy, ain't that the truth. I was a recipient of a RAK yesterday when one of our generous members sent me a gift & I am extremely grateful for this very unselfish act. I have already PIF (paid it forward) & will continue to do so in the future. This board is the BEST !!!

This is a great board! I don't always log in. I'm guilty of reading the posts every morning before my work day begins. I've learned many many tips on here and feel I need to say "thank you" to all of you who are so generous in sharing! I've used many tips as well....

The people on this board are the absolute best!!! I have been on the giving and receiving end of many RAKs and PIFs and it brings such joy, whichever end you are on. I am always excited when I can give something here, as I know from personal experience how great it feels to receive, also. It's always a winning situation. How great is that??!!??!?

I really do think that most quilters are the most loving, most generous souls on the face of the earth! A few won't share a hint or anything, but most of us will share our knowledge willingly. Welcome aboard!

I have been the recipient of several RAKs from other quilters. It is amazing how good it feels to pay them forward.

There is a group of people on this board who are regulars in the monthly
secret pal swaps who have shared their addresses and are ALWAYS sending
out RAK's to other who are on the list.

Of course the list in NOT published anywhere so the addresses are only shared
with those who wish to share with others on the list. We have about 50 RAK
swap members now.


I LOVE mailing RAK's it is so fun to get the pm with a huge "thank you" from
the recipient.

I know I have been blessed over and over by just reading of these RAKS. This board is just wonderful and everyone is always friendly, helpful, and kind. So thankful I found y'all!

I have met some wonderful people here and treasure the experience.

I agree!

This may sound pethetic but this is the only place I know of I can come to without stress or pressure. Yes Most of the people are very kind on here. I'm happy that RAK has hit you!! ;-)

This board does rock! It always makes me so happy to hear that there are wonderful, kind folks in this world. We need more good people in this world! Quilters ARE some of the absolute best!
