I won again, too!!

I was going to tack this onto the end of susie-susie-susie's post, but I wanted to make sure people see it: For any of you who are sceptical that the larger prizes in the fabshophop are awarded, I have just found out that I won one of the four 'first prize' prizes from the May hop! I am really excited to see what it will be - they said in the email that it will be shipped sometime in the next week or so, and will have an approx value of $175...WOW!

When it arrives I will follow-up. I am all a-quiver!

Alison

Congrats! Can't wait to hear what you won! I entered the fabshophop in April and much to my surprise won one of the $25 prizes! I was very pleased to get a package of four white-on-white yards of fabric, that's something that any quilter can find a use for - regardless of what type of quilts they make.

fayefromfla 07-08-2012 04:12 AM

Congratulations on winning!!!
I have been entering Fabhopshop since November 2011. I have won several $10 gift certificates and in the month of May I won SECOND place!!! A $25 valued gift will be mailed to me...from the posts above looks like I might be getting white on white fabric as the gift.

susie-susie-susie 07-08-2012 04:54 AM

Congratulations. Can't wait to see what you won!

Congratulations! Glad you won. I always look to see who wins the top prizes and have noticed that I never see anyone from the midwestern states win.

Congratulations! It's so much fun to win something! I've never done the the shophop and was wondering is this the one with the bunnies? I' curious how much time do you all spend when doing this? Do you get through all the shops? Is it difficult? or just time consuming?

Latrinka 07-08-2012 06:26 AM

I have played many times and also have won some cool prizes. Yes, this is the one with the bunnies. I think it is fun, as I get introduced to many shops that I hadn't seen before. When I do play, I do try to go through all the shops. It is not difficult and when I play I just take my time. You have all month to complete the game. I say try it once & you'll know soon enough it is something you want to continue. Good luck.

Please share when it/they come. Can't wait to see what goodies you've won.

Congratulations. have not won a large prize, but I have won something in just about every shop hop so far. I'm busy finding bunnies for this contest, as I was unable to play for 4 months while recovering from a spinal cord injury, surgery and rehab. I'm glad to report that I'm now home and I'm anxious to begin quilting again. I thank God every day that the surgery was successful, I have regained the use of my hands and legs, and have begun walking again. Even with a walker, I'm walking and I'm eternally grateful. Younever know when one split second can radically change your life.

zkosh 07-08-2012 12:05 PM

Great news! Congratulations! I guess I will start looking for the bunnies, again. I had given up!

owlvamp 07-08-2012 12:18 PM

Marge i was so touched by your email. I am so sorry about your accident but so very thankful to God also that you are regaining use of your hands and legs and able to walk again. Yes, we take so many things for granted...every day things, like walking and talking and quilting! I am so thankful for every day i can do these things. So very glad for you too! God bless!

Yes, it is the one with the bunnies, and yes it is time consuming. I have been doing it for the last four months and (being somewhat OCD) always try to find all of the bunnies, even though you are eligible for many of the prizes and drawings with a fairly low number of bunnies. I also find that I get into a rhythm with it, but it still probably takes at least 3 hours (probably longer) to find all of the bunnies. I do 5 or 10 a day, when I am in the mood. You learn pretty quickly how to quickly find the bunnies on any given website - I got a lot faster after the first 40 or so bunnies!

I was surprised that I found a bunch of stores I would never have found without the hop, and while I haven't actually ordered from any of them yet I have them bookmarked for future reference!
