I wore it out!
I've been having trouble with my rotary cutter and finally my DH looked at it and discovered that the hole the screw went in was all worn and mis-shaped. Its so much better now with a new cutter. Didn't know those could wear out- DH said now he knows I quilt too much.

I've had mine for years and it's getting sort of wobbly but I never thought about it wearing out like that. Guess I need to check mine out. Thanks for the heads up.

ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..... I have spent the last week sharpening my blade because it seems to have a flat spot that I cannot see... betting this is the problem with my handle as well. Quilters are such a neat bunch! We learn from each other every single day!!! :)

Had a problem with my Ofla, and they do replace parts..

Have not had this problem yet!

What an ah ha moment! I kept thinking I had a set of warped blades. After your comment, I looked and mine is worn also. I guess all that pressure gets to those plastic parts. Off to buy another.

I've been changing blades after cutting only for a short while ..... maybe this is the problem. I've been wanting a different rotary cutter anyway ..... thanks for the insight.

Check with Olfa...if it's an Olfa, they have replaced parts for me for free.

Goodness, I buy new rotary cutters often. None of them are used over and over so they aren't getting worn out fast at all. I use Joann's 50% off coupons or Hancock 50% sale to keep a new cutter handy all the time. My last one was the Olfa Quick Change. I got it 75% off at Tuesday Morning store.
