Do you have any ideas for making a baby quilt that is not difficult? Please advise.
Thank you so much. |
You can get a themed fabric (farm, trucks, baby animals etc.) and put it in the middle then borders around the outside.

im doing a quick one for my cousins little boy...
i just got a bunch of fat quarters and will cut out 6" squares and sew together with a border and bind... kinda a mini scrappy lol |
Stripes are fast. Find a theme fabric, make 6 inch stripes. Pick 2 more colors, and make 4 inch stripes for each side. If there is a 3rd color, make the outside border with it.

QAYG... big colorful strips as wide as your backing then bind.

jelly roll your favorite juvinile prints
or use the tube pinwheel method on Missouri Star Quilt Company - I've made several baby quilts doing this and it takes no time at all! |
I just finished a "fast" one last night. I brought a panel of a nursery theme, quilted it and added binding. Looks great. Got the panel at Joanne's.
Good luck! |
Check out "Super-Sized Nine Patch" by Anita Grossman Solomon. I got it from Quiltmaker mag. May/June 2006. You may be able to get it on their website. But I think I saw it in either last month or the month before reprinted.

check out Kay Wood's 6 hour quilt. Her web site can be found at kaywood.com. This quilt is the top, batting & backing all put together at the same time.
