Can anyone tell me what pattern was used to make this quilt?

I like the pattern. I'm not thrilled with their fabric choices.

Looks like Nancy Zieman's 2015 Quilt Adventure, the Quarter Circle Quilt Block, block of the month #3.

Right! Templates are Clover Trace & Create Carefree Curves. Nancy Zieman is another one with excellent instructions.

I saw your request earlier, then when I was looking for something else, guess what I found!

Love the pattern! Her fabric choices, not so much.

I love the fabric choices! I guess that's why we all come up with different creations.

Oh my gosh, is that pretty!

ManiacQuilter2 05-25-2016 12:55 PM

I agree. I am not fond of the fabric used.

Great quilt! I think the pic is at least 20 years old, from some of the fabrics I see. I still have some of them!

It's not the same as the Moda bakeshop pattern, tho it's the same idea. Similar.

Just saw a very similar quilt on the Moda blog. A quilt by Jen Kingwell.
Scroll down.

Nice quilt.

For those who are not familiar with her designs, she also created the Gypsy Wife that quite a few of us are doing. She has a love of bright colors!

I have a set of templates that does that in several sizes...I did it in batiks about 5 yrs ago....not in sewing cave now but back porch is part of the designer/website. Since then several others have offered similar designs. One can use whatever fabric....looks like this one really had a wild stash!

I have to agree with this statement.

Don't care for the Moda bakeshop pattern in that the offset circles look like mistakes to me.

I do like the quilt pattern shown in this thread, but agree on the fabric choices. Just too busy for my personal taste.

I love this pattern but her fabric choices look like she was using up her scraps and only had one of each. My DGM used to make quilt tops with her scraps so this reminds me of something she would have made. I love the quilt but would use different fabrics if I made it.

I too love the fabric choices adds a touch of whimsy for me!!

I like the center of the quilt. I think those fabrics are a lot of fun, but I don't like the wide border fabric with it, it just doesn't work well with the colors or scale of the rest of the quilt.

8" rainbow quilt template

2 Attachment(s)
8" Rainbow Block Template is your key to making a large drunkards path block. Easy to cut with the thick acrylic tempaltes and easy to sew with the one-pin sewing method.

This four piece template set also allows you to make the block with an arc in it. Use the blocks separately or together in the same quilt.

Add the 4" template, sew four of the smaller blocks together to make the same size as your 8" block.

8" is the finished size of the block, it will measure 8 1/2" unfinished size.

Includes the quilt pattern Tropical as shown in the photo to make the 67" x 67" quilt as shown.

Endless variety of options are available with this template.
