Lucky you!
I once answered an ad on craigslist for free quilting magazines - had no idea how many. Lady gave me her address, and I was amazed that she had 10 grocery bags filled with magazines. All sorted according to date and magazine title. I was one happy camper going through all those (and still have some around). THat was a couple years ago, and have since passed on most of them to others. Enjoy! |
What fun, go through and keep what you think you might use and pass the rest out to friends and family. What a windfall.

I love recycling.

Going to divide it between the 8 quilters in our family. |
That's a lot of magazines! Have fun reading through them and picking out patterns to try.

I recently posted on craigslist and freecycle that I had a box of Ladies Circle Patchwork Quilts from the 1980's and 1990's and did not get a response until weeks and weeks after. They were in great condition and a-once-in-a-lifetime resource. There has not been another magazine that focused on certain parts of the country in their main articles. Nowadays, I photocopy anything I want to keep our of a magazine because I know that eventually, I'll pass them on--there will always be a newbie around to enjoy them.

that's great. you should look at all of them before you split them up. lol

2 sisters and a niece will be here tonight to look at them. Have orders from DD and we will see what happens. Should be lots of ooh and aahs going on.
