I would take a longarm. Love to learn how to run one.

grandme26 06-02-2010 08:14 AM

LONG ARM, but if they do not have that it would be all the fabric that they carry

gramquilter2 06-02-2010 08:51 AM

I too am wanting the longarm and lessons-

quilter64779 06-02-2010 09:44 AM

I agree with you. Give to those who can not afford it.

Bergereink 06-02-2010 10:32 AM

Frequent "retreats" or just times that the tables and work spaces are available for working with companionship.

I'd ask for 10% of their profits to go to the American Cancer Society to helf defeat the spread of cancer. My mom died of brain cancer, my uncle the same, three nephews on my husbands side had cancer, plus friend.

I'd love some goodes, like a more modern machine, but if I had the option, I'd have the 10% sent to the ACS

thanks

After I took the keys to the store, I would have a party and invite every quilter I could think of.....

Everyone would get to shop until they dropped----

The only stipulation would be that they could get fabric for a quilt for themselves and fabric for a quilt to be donated to a charity (or raffle for an organization).

(yes, we would have refreshments and chocolate would be high on the list!)

wisconsin 06-02-2010 11:36 AM

good idea!!

dude 06-02-2010 11:39 AM

Material, matrial and more material
Dude

steelecg 06-02-2010 11:43 AM

I agree

Quiltmaniac 06-02-2010 11:54 AM

Two yards of everything

joyceinoh 06-02-2010 12:05 PM

Two of everything, but limited to one, I want an embroidery machine. Since I just got
a sewing/quilting machine, which I love

skavanau 06-02-2010 12:27 PM

Iam with her, I want a longarm.

I like that! I think I'd go for the keys, too. If not that, then all the batiks.

MissyGirl 06-02-2010 12:34 PM

I want first pick of all merchandise that comes into the store. That would include all notions, fabric, machines, everything!

Missy

jemcnutt 06-02-2010 12:48 PM

A longarm???? ME TOOOOOOO!!!

Gramof6 06-02-2010 01:11 PM

I would love to have all of the knowledge & expertise of all the Salesclerks & Customers, all wrapped up in my brain. With a never ending supply of new ideas & lessons at my disposal 24/7. Might as well dream in color. LOL

great aunt jacqui 06-02-2010 01:11 PM

I agree with crafty bear. a longarm and a year of classes.

then Id have to find a carpenter to add on to my home :)

wvdek 06-02-2010 01:25 PM

Your original question was, "If you could have anything in a quilt store what would it be?"

I guess it would be free lessons every week for a year or undivided attention of a knowledgeable and gifted quilter/instructor.

Ada Shiela 06-02-2010 01:29 PM

I agree with all of the 'I wants and would likes' here, including the keys, but I think the most valuable thing of all would be the "space" to have a well equipped work area with access to all accessories and fabrics as and when we need them - then we might have room to all get together and brainstorm!!

badger 06-02-2010 01:51 PM

The key to the front door.

sasseyib 06-02-2010 01:51 PM

I want it all.

marla 06-02-2010 02:24 PM

I would take a new quilters Janome--thenew one that just came out!

SandyMac 06-02-2010 03:13 PM

Longarm :-D

Mundy Woodbeck 06-02-2010 03:18 PM

Now that is a hard ? all of it of course

meme40 06-02-2010 03:42 PM

I would love to have an embroidery machine, but if not available, then I'd like to have the material. We lost our last local Walmart store with material, so now I have to travel 40 more miles out of the way to get material and at a higher price:(

magpiefeather 06-02-2010 03:50 PM

Just one? That's torture! LOL! I never did want a long arm...seems like a complicated adventure. But free longarm services for life would be nice! (But how can I not say fabric? and stacks of fat quarters, charms and jelly rolls? Sewing machines, bobbins, rulers and books?)

DeniseB 06-02-2010 03:58 PM

A longarm machine.

sheron 06-02-2010 04:11 PM

I would love to have a Bermia 830 sewing machine or one of the best you have and would love to have a long arm.

Well you did ask if I could have anything what it would be and this is it.

Quilter2B 06-02-2010 04:40 PM

I would want a long arm and frame; that would classify as one thing, right?

starlight 06-02-2010 05:11 PM

Fabric for me

wildyard 06-02-2010 05:18 PM

Well, the question doesn't actually say one thing, it says anything... so, I'd like a sewing machine meant for quilting. My feed dogs don't even drop. And, ongoing access to fabric I need.. not just want.. and one of those rulers that have the 1/4 and 1/2'' slots for the rotary cutter to help in cutting strips. I don't think I could run a longarm even if I had one.

hilda Vest 06-02-2010 05:21 PM

I'd have all the attachments for my Husqvarna sewing machine.

betlinsmom 06-02-2010 05:26 PM

oh, yes !!keys to the store WITH more trucks being stock in all the time!!!

sasseyib 06-02-2010 06:49 PM

Oh Goodness - I think we would cause a riot - can you just see all of us trying to get into the store!!!!

rufus2 06-02-2010 07:06 PM

I would take one of each Accuquilt Die and one of each mat. Then one of each ruler.

Cher 06-02-2010 07:15 PM

I would want the rulers and a teacher to tell me how to use them all. Fabric in Canada is alot more than $9.00 a yard, you are very lucky in the US.

eleu16 06-02-2010 07:20 PM

a bed to sleep there....and a table to work there
