I really love charm packs -- I usually buy at least 2 and if I really like the fabric -- I buy 4

I like the idea of using jelly rolls and honey buns for log cabin blocks...my favorite!

Hi,
I can take care of a fabric line craving by buying one charm pack and making a table topper or runner from it and only buying yardage for borders and backing. I did make a very large charm pack quilt....think I needed 8 packs of 42 squares each! It is gorgeous....but not all that much fun sewing squares together. I love to play with charms....many patterns out there for runners and totes etc. from them Have fun..... Bev |

This is so true!!! How true! |
I LOVE pre-cut sets of entire collections of fabric! :) Mostly fat quarters, layer cakes and charm squares. I'm not all that hot on strips, though, as I don't do a lot of stuff that needs this particular size. I can't even imagine how much I've actually spent on my stash of these goodies. I just can't help myself.
To answer the original question, I usually get 4-6 matching charm packs for a quilt and, if possible, a pillow sham. |
