Last month I broke and crushed the outside bone of my right foot, and have been bedridden and house bound ever since. While lying on my back and staring at the homely 50's ceiling with squares, I thought of a geat? idea. I'll make a ceiling quilt. One that I can attach to a 10' X 11' frame and hang it from my celing..Has anyone seen or heard of a quilt made for a ceiling? what pattern would be best? Maybe "Trip around the world" in pastel colors?

My dentist puts quilts in his ceiling tiles. I love it. When getting my teeth cleaned I have something to concentrate on!!!

So sorry about your foot. Get well soon. How about a memory quilt so you could look at your family, friends, flowers or whatever else excites you.

How about a scrappy?

When I worked for an Ob/Gyn we had posters on the ceilings of the exam rooms. Some were tropical scenes, one was a large crossword puzzle. I think you have a neat idea about a ceiling quilt. Just decide what you want to look at. Let us know what you decide.

I went to an antique store that actually put feed sacks as quilt blocks on the ceiling. Personally I think that was a waste of a good feed sack :o).

Can you piece the squares and have dh attach them to the tiles? You wouldn't even have to quilt them that way. Sounds like a cool idea to me.
