Yes, it is a reg. quilt tool. Made just to push out points. Of course I can't think of what it's called right now. Somebody will know though. It's a common tool. Made either from wood or plastic.

Thank all of you for your responses. Once I knew what to call the darn thing, I didn't have any trouble finding them. I plan to get one at JoAnns or Hobby Lobby the next time I'm out their way. Again, thanks.

I have one made of bamboo. I have had it for years and years. Have seen it in Joanns.

sounds like the wood piece that Elna Burns uses to "Iron",press sewn seams. Or also there is a flat round end, on one end and pointed on the other. this is used to turn applique pieces. These can be found in different quilt supply cataloges and QS's.

I've used a tool from tupperware that you peel oranges with also lg.knitting needles

Try a long knitting needle, preferably a large one.
