I agree about keeping the lines clean and feathering the border. Your quilt is beautiful.

I know you don't want to do an allover, but I am definitely seeing Baptist fans...it will add the curves.

Oh yes, I like that for a border treatment. I haven't done clam shells yet (I've only been quilting for not quite two years now--so many quilt patterns to do still) but I've done feathers and love what they add to a quilt.
