Indian Blanket Pattern?

Husband has asked for an Indian Blanket style quilt. My searches are not turning up any so far. Have you ever seen any quilt pattern that looks similar to this?

I just finished a log cabin quilt in the "Navajo" pattern - it's close but not exactly like your picture.

Yes!
I'm pretty sure there are block patterns in QuiltersCache that would work.
I have a daily calendar of quilt blocks ... and there's some that would work too.
I'll go thru it and try to get you some block names.

And too, you could draw out your block on graph paper, based on that photo.
Looks pretty much like an Irish Chain block gone diamond!

http://jmichellewatts.com/Southweste..._Patterns.html ....don't know how to make this an actual link on here but you can cut and paste and get the same effect. The magic was using the the word "southwest" along with any other quilt related word. Hope this gets you started on the way to what you want.

Ha! who'd of thunk it would do itself into a link when I hit post. Seven a.m. and I've already got my learn something new covered before I hit the bottom of the first cup of coffee.

My favorite book Tradition With A Twist has several that could be made to look Native American by using your choice of fabric. I have made several from this book including a Zuni. Im sure Amazon has the book. By the way, the instructions are perfect. The author now 93 yro introduced strip piecing years ago. She was honored in houston a few years back as a pioneer in the quilting resurgence.

It looks like a form of a Bargello pattern. Maybe you could use that to design your own.

Google "Seminole quilt" and you might find something you like. Here's a start:

There have been a couple of books written about Seminole piecing, also. Can't remember the names, but you could try Amazon.
