OK...........what about a phone number for Pellon and make a phone call....don't think it should have fallen apart in the wash.....package should have said 'Do not pre-wash'....Pellon is an old company, I personally would have expected better of them..... Please call like the Quilter did with the Hobbs batting.....

I used to work closely with the batting division of Hobbs. Email me at [email protected]. As you can see from my email address, I make no secret of who I am. I will work to help you with this porblem.

I called Pellon about this batting they said if you plan to wash your finished product you should preshrink it. The correct way to preshrink this batting is to soak it in hot water for 20 minutes - no agitation. Then dry is on high heat in the dryer.

Anyone ever heard of it - or - worked with it?
100% cotton - 4oz - 1/4" loft - 8-10" quilt spacing

I have used it and like it. I did a medium stipple all over. I put it in the dryer with a wet cotton not terry dish towel and dried in for about 20 mins on low before I used it. When I washed the quilt it gave me that nice quilted look but did not shrink too much and it has nice drape. Pam in Mt.

I use it and love it, I have seen no difference between this and warm and natural.

I personally do not pre-wash batting at all. I don't really see the need. I expect there to be some shrinkage and I think it enhances the look of the quilt.

This is my first posting on QB. I have a flyer from Joann's and this batting is on sale for $99.99 for a 25 yard roll. That immediately caught my eye. It goes on sale, one day only, November 21, 2012. I've never used it but did find a few comments on blogs by people who said they liked it. I'm nervous about risking $90.00 (I also get a 10% discount at Joann's from QCA) for something relatively unknown. I've always used Warm and Natural but the price of this looks good. And, it's made in the good old USA! Since the last posting on this thread, has anyone tried it?

Toni, no coupon needed, just one day sale. You might want to go by the store and make sure they will have it, my experience with JoAnns is that if it's a really great sale, they usually only have a few of the sale item. Maybe you can talk them into holding it for you until the sale.

I thought this would come in 90 (queen) at least but I just called JoAnns and they said all they had was 60 wide
