what a beauty--how lucky you are to have it!

If it were mine, I'd already be hand quilting it. It's beautiful! Quilt tops like this have me just itching to hand quilt every time I see one that's unfinished!

oh awesome. That's gorgeous. I hope you finish it!

It is a very nice quilt. It took someone a long time to make it, I bet.

Elanor Burns "re" published her version of this quilt around 1998-2000.

What did she call it? My MIL died in '88, so can't ask her about it.

Quilt in a Day Eleanor Burns and her sister Patricia Knoechel "re" made the quilt Grandmother's Garden Quilt in 1999. Page five of the book explains that the original quilt maker Florence LaGanke Harris was a quilt pattern designer who's work was syndicated nationwide under the title of the "Nancy Page Quilt Club." The Grandmother's Garden Quilt, a series, quilt was copyrighted by the Publishers Syndicate in 1928 and 1929. The original copyrights were not renewed and passed into the public domain in 1957. I must say this is a great book, spiral bound with lots of patterns and variations. When I purchased it I also bought her fabrics, plastic templates and printed interfacing for the fusible stitch and turn technique. I still have not made the quilt though I have used select patterns and techniques over the years.

I have had it since about 1988, don't know how long she had it. There is only one tiny spot that might need to be resewn.

It's beautiful.

Are you certain it is machine pieced?
