Instructions I received on cleaning my OLFA self healing mat from a distributor
Use a generous amount of room temperature water and a few drops of mild detergent. Use a soft, mild bristle brush to create a lather and gently clean your mat. Rinse with room temperature water and wipe dry with a cotton towel. Please note that warm or hot water and direct sunlight may damage the mat.

Good information. I never knew about room temperature water for cleaning the mats. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I'd not heard this either - I used windex and a nylon dish scrubber (from the dollar store).

thanks for the tips

Great info! I just "inherited" two Olfa cutting mats from a dear, departed friend and one of them is in very bad shape - so will try that before tossing it in the trash.
