Default Instructions I received on cleaning my OLFA self healing mat from a distributor

Use a generous amount of room temperature water and a few drops of mild detergent. Use a soft, mild bristle brush to create a lather and gently clean your mat. Rinse with room temperature water and wipe dry with a cotton towel. Please note that warm or hot water and direct sunlight may damage the mat.

Good information. I never knew about room temperature water for cleaning the mats. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I'd not heard this either - I used windex and a nylon dish scrubber (from the dollar store).

Great info! I just "inherited" two Olfa cutting mats from a dear, departed friend and one of them is in very bad shape - so will try that before tossing it in the trash.

YOu can use the back side of the cutting mat!!! It will be like new. You will not have the lines, but you will be giving it a new life!!!
