I work in a LQS and we cut half yard pieces and then cut down the center length wise to get two fat quarters. :thumbup:

Which can also mean 1/2 yd cut in half. Isn't it all the same? I have watched them cut 2 fat quarters from a half yd at the store.

sounds like good cutting to me and would come up the same results !!!!!!!!!!!
