I think that the center is beautiful and the white squares will come in handy down the road...
Think contrast...
Everyone is doing such beautiful work...

I think it's beautiful!
Once you get it back, like the others said..if you want, put an applique in the middle, but I'm thinking you arent going to have to do that once it finished.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going with it. It's got sentimental value. The blue fabric in the center of the blocks is from the very first fat quarters I EVER bought, probably in January 2007, and I bought all JoAnn's had, just because I loved the fabric so much. I've been holding onto it all this time ... it's good to use it for something special.

Calico, I think your centre is beautiful...the centre white square will be a perfect place to add a lovely quilting motif :D

I think its lovely too and lends itself to many interesting borders.

You took the words right out of my keyboard! I am not involved in these round robin groups, but I have been invited to join one with members of a local quilt guild (which I do not belong to). I am so freaked out by the idea of messing up someone else's work. So I come here to see how you all are progressing and I keep reading all of these insecure messages appologizing for inadequate work. I must be going blind because all I see are works of art that you are all creating. It just seems so funny to me. We must stop picking on ourselves so much and start being proud of our talents. Because the talent is obvious to everyone else just not to the owner of the work of art work.

Calico, great job. I wish you were in my group I'd love to see that in person.

Just to explain though this is my first round robin, so if its unsuitable someone please say. I tried to use enough different colours so that the next person would find it easy to understand where I was going with it. I also know that not all my points are perfect, but I figure with autumn leaves falling as these are supposed to represent then theyre unlikely to be perfect anyway.
Let me know what you think...
Sarah

this is just beautiful even more so in person! it got here safely yesterday:)
