OK better late than never here is round three added to the log cabin wreath center Barbsbus made. I hope the rest of my borders don't have the issues I have had with this one.

Barb you get a table runner out of the deal cause I my first border didn't fit and since it matches your top you just have to have it :)

I love what you did! The gold metalic adds a lot to it. I am able to hobble around now and will try sitting at my sewing machine to finish the round for Tricia. Hope to get it out in the mail in the next week.

I think your choice of fabrics compliment her center very nice.
Its funny because that is the same border pattern I'm thinking of doing on Purplemom's that is in my sewing room now, but it will be a couple weeks before I can get to it yet. Trying very hard to get the house in some kind of order (other than the mess it is) before starting something else.
Again, very nice work.

AkAngel don't forget when you measure it out to make it fit that the four patches measure longer across the diagonal then they do on the edges - that was my first mess up. Then when I had to redo them at the right size I didn't have enough fabric and I couldn't remember for the lift of me where I bought it :) Crazy but sooooo much fun.

I can't wait to start on the next one!!!!!

Unfortunately I had my machine give up the ghost so waiting for a part so that I can finish the sewing on it.

Ugly words and more you can bet. Its the bobbin case, there is a bit got broken off the top of it and it just doesn´t want to play any more. :evil: That is my second border I had it all finished and when I turned it over it had got all loopy and horrible, :? definately not ready to go round the world, so off it came (can you imagine, the air was blue) :( Never mind its all ready to go when I get the part (about a week)

Thank you for the lovely compliment. This is the second time this has happened to this particular machine so I really am not happy. Trying to keep calm, glad I held on to my old trustoworthy Toyota, however it doesn´t have the nice stitches to do applique.

It's not due to be mailed out until next month, so there's still time for me to change my mind, which WILL most likely happen!

Hi terri, glad you like it. Sometimes it is really hard to figure out what to do. That particular pattern was out of a book I had and was really a quilting pattern I turned it into applique. :D

Patti.....I was playing around on Expedia.com the other night. For giggles, I put in from VA to Spain...you wouldnt believe how CHEAP r/t tickets were. UNDER $500!!! Well, that was for fall of this year. I'm hoping the price doesn't jump that much for fall next year. Couldn't get to 2010 on their calendar, but even if it goes up $100, it's still a good price. THEN...I put in for same flight but to add France in there. Price jumped just a couple hundred. I couldn't believe it!! Told hubby about it and he was amazed at how cheap it was. So...I am DEFINITELY going to go! :) :) :) Just gotta get myself back to the US!

You might tell Bill that if he doesn't keep on spoiling you like he does...you might not head back... :wink:

I haven't checked on the prices, but DH can't travel right now and I wouldn't go without him...we do LOVE to travel together. Its one of the trips we have planned...if we can get him back healthy. We've been to France...loved it and I would definetly go again!

I didn´t realise the price was a one way ticket, looks like I am also looking for a casa for you Terri :D :D

Just for a visit Elle. I am a pretty picky eater and I lost quite a bit of weight during our trip. I was ok though...after I found Toblerons and Gelato! So...I'm not sure my diet was all that healthy. I guess I'll have to visit you to get healthy too!

Great idea you two and with food being of subject you could pinch the cute butt with one hand and be holding a tortilla sandwich with tomato in the other. Just thinking about it is making me hungry - not sure for which one though :P
