You should cover it up or replace it. You can just use a piece of fabric with fusible on it and cover that spot.

I just finished a tee shirt quilt, and had to fuse very square. Usually I pretest on just a small corner to see which side is the right side. Good Luck.

Fuse some fabric to your ironing board, or make a new cover.

Been there - done that. Covered it up for awhile eventually replaced the cover.

Time to get a new cover, and while you're at the store, pick up a roll of parchment paper. You put it under your project when you're using fusible, saves a LOT of headaches fairly inexpensively.
