you get barraged with emails from online shops with all the tantalizing pictures of what's new/for sale, etc - and even though you don't need fabric, nor have the $$ to buy it, you have to click and just look.... and then you see all these beautiful droolworthy prints......
Ugh. Just saw Moda's "Gorgeous Array of Flowers" line and would just LOVE to fill a bin with it. (for a future project, of course  ) Oh well. Hopefully it will be around for a while!
So why do I look?!

Maggiesmom 12-24-2010 09:54 AM

Because we are fabriholics HE HE HE.

LOL - why did you tell me?????

Naturalmama 12-24-2010 10:04 AM

Ok, I'll protect you - don't open ANY email from Fabric Shack.

cjomomma 12-24-2010 10:27 AM

I've been trying not too look!! LOL!!

CompulsiveQuilter 12-24-2010 10:40 AM

I not only look, I add items to my cart ... then close the site. LOL.

sewgull 12-24-2010 10:41 AM

We love fabric, just to look at and feel the beauty. We are happy with more fabric.

Merry Christmas

belmer 12-24-2010 10:44 AM

I do exactly the same thing.... Just opened Connecting threads and added somthing to my shopping cart but did not submit it... It makes me feel better thinking I purchased somthing without the pain of paying for it. It works every time for me.... Well' maybe some of the time.

LOL they hope to catch us at a weak moment  :D:D:D

Naturalmama 12-24-2010 11:09 AM

I thought of putting in in my cart too, but then I thought "why?!" lol! Some places keep it in your cart forever, can't remember if Fabric Shack does or not. It'd be nice to keep it there to make sure I don't forget about it.... Oh crazy. It'll take me years to get through my current projects as it is! lol!

charmpacksplus 12-24-2010 12:28 PM

Now, now! You all know your want new fabric every now and then regardless of how much you already have :D

I think the way most of those carts work is whoever checks out first gets it. It doesn't hold it for you forever.

If u look at those site late in the evening, u can dream about them while ur going to sleep.....

akgranny 12-24-2010 08:11 PM

it's good to look at all the new stuff ..... you get fabulous ideas for future consideration. i prefer putting all the goodies in the wish list or tack 'em on the design board. i am afraid to put them in my cart .....

CarrieAnne 12-24-2010 08:53 PM

I try no to llok either!

wvdek 12-24-2010 09:02 PM

I like getting these ads. I 'window' shop, add to my cart, look at the total after S & H, and then close out. Love 'buying' fabric this way and I save so much money. :)

Because looking is more fun than not looking.

Dodee 12-25-2010 05:08 AM

F.S. in Waynesville, Ohio is fantastic. The people there are also.

JuneD 12-25-2010 05:23 AM

I try not to look, but my curiosity always gets the best of me!!! I am a doomed fabricholic!! 12 steps anyone??? lol..lol.. as long as those steps are on the way to a fabric shop!!

liminanc 12-25-2010 05:23 AM

I find I would always have enough money for fabric, if only the family didn't want to eat. lol I too put it in the cart and dont buy, or go back and only get what I really want that fits my budget.

KarenR 12-25-2010 05:33 AM

They are offering a mystery quilt on the quilting board. The fabric "Gorgeous Array of Flowers" sounds like it would be a great combination. HE HE HE HE
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Lisa Marie 12-25-2010 06:01 AM

I just started to unscribe to some of those emails because I am weak.

GrandmaLola 12-25-2010 06:06 AM

Oh no! You made me look!

zennia 12-25-2010 06:07 AM

I am the same way with patterns. Just ordered 4 more that I dont really need. Its fun to look and dream.

Dodee 12-25-2010 06:22 AM

I, too, collect patterns and have a nice file going now on them. Anyone have any they want to get rid of - just let me know. I'm gradually going thru them and making "stuff".

kittykatz2001 12-25-2010 06:53 AM

(I not only look, I add items to my cart ... then close the site.)

I do this all the time. I thought I was the only one!

Hosta 12-25-2010 07:39 AM

we love fabric and everything that goes with it

Pat P 12-25-2010 09:23 AM

If you're lookin' at fabric you're not raiding the fridge!!

I am also guilty of this. Sometimes when you leave the site and return, the items are still in your cart. I have even asked myself, "What possessed you to add that to your cart?" I found a kit I just HAVE to have. I've made no new purchases as my New Year's resolution. Guess I'd better order it quickly or I'll be breaking it on the first day.

passionpiecer 12-25-2010 12:42 PM

because you are a quilter and can't help yourself!!

annieshane 12-25-2010 02:29 PM

Isn't that torture. I have actually gone so far as fill out a shopping list and gotten to the check out. When the total came up I gasped and quickly closed it out without purchasing. Frightening, isn't it.

I could be a very poor quilter IF I purchased every fabric I love. Have actually declared a non-purchase moratorium until at least Easter! Going to quilt as much as I can and send them to charity, if necessary. Am also working on a full size quilt for ME!!!

suern3 12-25-2010 02:43 PM

I guess I'm lucky , in a way. I'm not attracted to buying fabric on-line. If I can't feel it and see it person then it just doesn't grab me, I have tried. Even just yesterday, but, nothing. Have only bought on-line once and that was to add to a piece I already had which was too small for what I needed. I'm thinking I will quit trying to look on-line! It will probably save me money in the long run, from what it sounds like:) I can do enough damage at the fabric stores in person:) Also, I spend soooo much time looking at QB, I would never get anything done if I was attracted to on-line fabric!!

POosterman 12-25-2010 06:14 PM

I feel your pain, I wish I had the money!

daria 12-25-2010 07:01 PM

Fabric Shack! oh goody another source for me to over indulge!

LOL

sewingsuz 12-25-2010 07:03 PM

I do the same thing! Ha Ha

I have been rebuilding my thread supply out of necessity, and now I can start on Fabric. Can't wait. I just went through JoAnn's whole catalog, and there are a lot of "goodies" I'd like to get from there too. I always need more gadgets and "stuff"

Yep, I do this too, LOL.
I tend to just delete the emails without opening them, but on occasion I do open one here and there.

scrapykate 12-26-2010 06:03 AM

Oh, I saw that new moda line too....
